For many people, anxiety is an insidious feeling of worry and doubt. For others, it’s an intense peak of emotion and physical discomfort akin to panic when they think of a particular thing or situation. How does your anxiety feel to you?
EFT (the Emotional Freedom Technique) or Tapping has helped hundreds of people with anxiety. Emerging research shows that tapping has a regulating effect on the amygdala, the part of the brain responsible for our stress response. As we tune into the issues that are stressful to us and tap at the same time, we soothe the response and calm down the system in real time. This allows enough relief from the anxious feelings to be able to think more clearly and find new solutions.
How EFT can help you with your anxiety
Firstly, if you are experiencing anxiety or fear at any level when we speak, we use EFT to take the edge off the feelings and bring the anxiety down. Most people will notice this shift quite quickly in the call/session.
Secondly, we look at what may be contributing to the anxiety and begin to release some of these emotions and/or the memories behind them. This is where some of the most profound shifts happen in how you feel and your freedom to be out in the world as you would like or choose.
It can take some time to fully release the anxiety but most people experience noticeable shifts during each session and relaxation around the issues which once gave them grief.
